"Isha!"
Newest completed concept!
Observational sketch for an underpainting. The compositional design elements are sketched out, hoping for an outcome that feels like a poster as well as graffiti work (not sketched). Explosive, colorful, shiny. I used measuring techniques I developed with only pen and paper, no other tools. I use this technique for a more raw feeling to the composition while keeping clean accuracy, balance, proportion, etc.

Needing my art more than ever, I am allowing myself more chaos. This work used more materials that are complicated to control, and I tried to not overthink my technique.

"The Anxious Conclusion of Your Timeless Mind" 2025
Portfolio/Visual Album/Series: Visions, Nightmares, and the Colors of Music
Medium(s): Oil Pastel, White Charcoal (On black canvas)
Underpainting: No
Size(USCS): 6"x8"
Total Process: Two Days
Location of Origin: Concealed until further notice
Current Location: Concealed until further notice
Current Condition: Original/Perfect
Extra Insights by the Artist:
Most people have zero concept of time, as well as adhd and crippling anxiety. This is a visualization of my confusion and mania. I had to wait till I had a crazy night to do it justice so it was quick, only a hour or two on the whole piece. I went back to add cohesion the next night. Between chaos and control that must balance in every piece and within every artist, I must consciously work on allowing chaos, and slowly I'm finding ways to do that, as can be well observed here.

"The Dragon of Chihiro" 2025
Portfolio/Visual Album/Series: Visions, Nightmares, and the Colors of Music
Medium(s): Pen & Ink, Prismacolor, Top Coat (Protective layer)
Underpainting: No
Size(USCS): 8"x10"
Total Process: Two Days
Location of Origin: Concealed until further notice
Current Location: Concealed until further notice
Current Condition: Original/Perfect
Relevant Information: Artwork created on sticker paper and applied to a blue metallic Ibanez Bass
Extra Insights by the Artist:
I made this sticker to put on my bass guitar to represent my favorite song ("Chihiro" by Billie Eilish), as well as my love of passionate hand-drawn animation, which Studio Ghibli harbors an abundance of.
There were a bunch of confinements to the space I had due to the size of my sticker paper, so I had to work with the form of the dragon to avoid feeling congested or unnatural. I drew from my experience studying and drawing bird talons to help with the hands and feet, I've been in love with my way of drawing knuckles and claws - I wish to animate them in movement soon!

Current Condition: Original/Perfect
Relevant Information: My current smallest painting.
Extra Insights by the Artist:
Went through a few different paths before I settled on a painting the start of a forest blizzard, inspired by my many long drives along the thruway.
I try to use the splatter technique delicately. It can in fact be controlled with acquired skill, but not fully. This time I went for a feeling of motion in the snow.
As always with the forest I am inspired subconsciously by the background art of Bambi.

Portrait of artist Harry Schonberg. Top left text recites lyrics from Schonberg's song 'Chickoree'. Bottom text is prose written by Kyra. Over the graphite sketch, the artwork was washed with coffee stain before inking. The artwork is one of many inside a leather-wrap sketchbook.
Extra Insights by the Artist: "The text at the bottom was a reflection of the collab day. I was writing if off of a note, but went a bit off script. The original went something like this: 'Allow your chaos. Everything is pretty because you see it to be. I've never seen anyone use a sticker so fast. Ive never used one, anyway. And the pizza looks so good, I wish I put it down sooner. After all, art is to be eaten. The lessons we shared, though soft spoken, have captured my mind, and I can't stop thinking of all I've learned in the cage.'
I used the song that has been stuck in my head making this piece, but there's so much more from this guy. I recommend also "6 Drinks." Go check him out on Spotify, and his website, there is more visual arts there. harryschonberg.com
Nothing has been a deeper motivation for me throughout my life than music."

"No One Knows What Happened to the Pizza Tables" 2023
Portfolio/Visual Album/Series: "The Art of Life and Emotion through Hands"
Medium(s): Mixed media/watercolor paper. Acrylic paint.
Underpainting: Yes (Graphite sketch, monochromatic burgundy underpainting)
Size(USCS): 2"x1.8"
Length of Creation: Six Months
Creation type: Standard
Location of Origin: Concealed until further notice
Current Location: Concealed until further notice
Current Condition(Recto): Great
Relevant Information:
The artwork is the last of four attempts at the subject. Attempting to capture an oil-paint texture with acrylic paint, the first three attempts did not meet the artist's expectations. Two of the three are destroyed, the third given to a friend who valued it. The third copy was nearly completed, resembling this final work, but with a different color scheme (Mostly monochrome blue). The painting conveys two hands clenching a blanket. The texture was achieved with dry brush techniques, as well as waiting for the paints to be nearly dried and then smudging it with the thumb.
Extra Insights by the Artist: "There was a reference photo, it was myself in a dark room. I was holding a blanket and watching a movie on a projection, and the light from the projector off the wall reflected into the photo a bit. But it wasn't completely accurate to my memory - the photo - so I wanted to capture it more to my memory. Also, at the time I wanted to create a painting that evoked a sense of mystery. This was my attempt at doing so. I believe it finally came out successfully."

"The Pirate" 2023
Portfolio/Visual Album/Series: "The Subconscious Adventures of the Courier"
Medium(s): Plaster, acrylic paint
Underpainting: Yes (Plaster)
Size(USCS): 8"x8"
Length of Creation: One day
Creation type: Alla prima
Location of Origin: University, NY
Current Location: Concealed until further notice
Current Condition(Recto): Great
Relevant Information:
The artwork was a university project. A layer of plaster was painted, and before it was fully dry it was painted over.
Extra Insights by the Artist: This was a practice for understanding the process of fresco works. The thickness of the plaster and paint was a personal choice to achieve desired texture, but took longer to dry and was hard to transport over my commute after class. Everything was worth it.

"Legoshi" 2021
Portfolio/Visual Album/Series: "The 4 AM Series"
Medium(s): Mixed media paper. Pen and Ink, oil pastel, office highlighter pens.
Size(USCS): 2"x1.8"
Length of Creation: Two Hours

Relevant Information:
The artwork conveys an anthropomorphic wolf and is a fanart of the character "Legoshi' from television series "Beastars". Its creation was worked on from 2:00 - 4:00 AM. Originally designed to fit within a keychain, "Legoshi" was the smallest artwork(s) by the artist at its time of creation. On its backside was another artwork. (See "Meowth Party") Two years after its completion, the keychain concealing the double-sided artworks broke, and they fell onto railroad tracks, after which was shortly destroyed by an oncoming train.
Extra Insights by the Artist: "The colors used here were at the time much brighter than anything I've really used. I wanted to capture two things that morning - the energy I always felt with the excitement of watching the show, and the energy of my 'midnight muse'".
